Building Blocks
The building blocks represent the different views that together describe how the organisation operates.

Each view offers a unique perspective. For example, the organisation view focuses on structure, roles, and governance, while the process view describes how value is created and delivered. Other views may highlight systems and technology, people and capabilities, or performance and metrics.

Individually, each view provides valuable insight. But it is only when these views are captured, maintained, and aligned within a single operating model that they form a complete and coherent picture of how the organisation works

Maintaining consistency between these views is essential. A change in one view, such as reorganising teams, will likely have implications in others, such as processes, systems, or governance. By keeping all building blocks connected, the operating model becomes a holistic and living design of the organisation, supporting both stability and adaptability over time.
